A Florida woman is accused of assaulting her spouse at their home on Sunday night after allegedly chucking a raw steak at him.
Police reports say Rochelle Wright, 42, and the male victim were “involved in a verbal argument and were intoxicated” when the extremely rare meat took flight. Wright and the man, cops report, have been a couple for 20 years and have a child together.
According to a criminal complaint the victim was seated in a chair inside the family’s home in Tarpon Springs when Wright became angry with him. Wright, investigators allege, “subsequently picked up the steak and threw it at the victim.”
Unfortunately, she missed instead hitting the victim’s chair and an adjacent wall. Wright reportedly admitted throwing the meat when questioned by police, stating she was “tired of his behavior and their arguing.”
Wright, who is pictured above, was taken into custody on suspicion of domestic abuse and lodged in the county jail. Yesterday afternoon, she was freed from custody on her own recognizance.
The complaint mentions that authorities did not seize the steak, which was considered a “weapon.”
