Consequences Of Biden’s Epic Failures Show Up In Approval Ratings


As the midterm elections approach, President Biden’s job approval rating has dropped to 40%, the lowest level of his presidency while he continues to lose support from important groups such as independents and minorities.

According to an NBC News poll issued over the weekend, Biden’s approval rating has dropped to 40% from 43% in January, while the number of voters who disapprove has grown by one percentage point to 55%.

Biden’s approval among Black respondents dropped two percentage points to 62 percent in the poll, while women’s approval dropped from 51 percent to 44 percent.

The president’s support rating among Latinos has dropped 9 percentage points to 39%, while it has dropped 4 percentage points to 32% among independent voters.

Ahead of the midterm elections, the poll reveals Republicans having a 2-point lead over Democrats, with 46 percent preferring a Republican-controlled Congress to 44 percent wanting Democrats to preserve power.

Biden’s approval rating on the economy has dropped 5 points, with only 33% saying they approve of the president’s handling on the topic and 38% blaming him for rising inflation, which hit 7.9% in February.

Only 28% of respondents said they have a “great deal” or “quite a bit” of confidence in Biden’s handling of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, while 44% said they have “very little” faith in the president.

The poll was conducted before to the president’s journey to Europe to speak with foreign allies about the Russia-Ukraine issue, during which he made a number of gaffes that embarrassed not only the Biden administration but the entire United States.
