Babysitter Arrested For Brutal Murder Of Two-Year-Old Toddler

A woman in Georgia has been arrested in connection with the death of a 2-year-old girl she had been babysitting.

In Sandy Springs 29-year-old Kirstie Flood is being charged with two counts of murder, malice murder, aggravated battery, and first-degree cruelty to a child.

After a suspicious “medical call” was made regarding an unresponsive child in an apartment on December 9 officials launched an investigation. The child, later identified as Fallon Fridley by her parents, was pronounced dead at the hospital.

According to an autopsy, the child suffered from severe injuries. Flood initially claimed that the child hit her head on a slide and then wouldn’t wake up.

Investigators later discovered internet searches on Flood’s cell phone that included, “what type of people enjoy abusing other people’s children” and “what does it mean to have a sudden urge to beat a child that’s not yours.”

The child’s mother told the local news station, “It’s like she snapped. It’s like this evil was in front of my face for years and I never saw it.

Some of Flood’s friends spoke up in her defense.

“Children are her whole world,” one friend told the news station.

Flood has a criminal history with several prior arrests, including battery and drug possession. She currently being held in the Fulton County jail without bond.
