Chris Rock Crossed The Line Again With Distasteful Jokes

Chris Rock making jokes about the late Nicole Brown Simpson’s murder didn’t go over well with the public, and her family is outraged.

Tanya Brown, Nicole’s sister, said Rocks crack wasn’t funny, nor did it make sense. She says equating getting slapped at the Oscars to a gruesome double homicide is nowhere near the same- so, she thinks it’s lacking in logic and a basic connection.

Tanya said his attempt at humor was distasteful, to say the least, and offensive to the extended family.

Tanya pointed out that there are still surviving family members dealing with Nicole’s death and this type of stuff hits close to home and hurts people.

Tanya says she thinks Chris could’ve used any other analogy to make his point … and didn’t have to bring up something that doesn’t even relate — coming off as tacky as a result. She believes comedians should be held accountable for what they say, including Chris.

Chris is definitely being called out by a lot of people online, who also thought the joke was in very poor taste.

Judge Puts Tyrese Gibson In His Place

The judge got hot during some of Tyrese Gibson’s divorce proceedings — specifically when Samantha’s attorney questioned him about his finances, and Gibson got smart with him. Samantha’s lawyer pointed out Gibson made more than $2 million in 2018, that same year he claimed to have been in financial ruin. Tyrese responded, “I don’t do the CFO thing. Here’s a question to you, smart person …” But the judge cut him off with a quickness and shouted, “You don’t ask questions! That’s not how this works!!” He threatened to hold Gibson in contempt if he couldn’t control himself.

Gibson is officially single and will be heavily investing in his child’s future, at least that’s how the judge advised him to view the $10k he’ll be paying in monthly child support.

Gibson’s courtroom battle with his estranged wife, Samantha Lee wrapped up Tuesday evening in Georgia with the judge ordering the actor to pay $10,690/month in child support for the couple’s daughter Soraya.

The judge spoke directly to Gibson saying … “This is not a punishment for you. Put that money where it belongs, in the child! The judge also advised Samantha and Tyrese not to bad mouth each other in front of Soraya — and said Tyrese should be happy if his ex moves into a better house because it means a better standard of living for his daughter.

Tyrese is already paying $10,690/month in child support for his teenage daughter, Shayla, who lives in California with his ex-wife Norma Mitchell.

Highjacker Steals Ambulance – Runs Down Paramedics

A highjacker smashed the windows of a San Francisco Fire Department ambulance Monday morning and then tried to run over two paramedics with the vehicle, the department announced.

The suspect used a wooden “stake from a tree” to smash the vehicle’s windows around 6:55 a.m. at 1717 Harrison Street, the department reported. The suspect then took control of the ambulance and attempted to run over the two paramedics.

The paramedics were “shaken up,” but not injured, according to San Francisco Firefighters 798, a local union.

“This morning two of our members were attacked by someone who used a stake from a tree, smashing windows and trying to assault them,” the union said. “This is another ambulance out of service and two personnel who are rightful, shaken up. This behavior in our City is not acceptable.”

Police said the suspect pulled into the Best Buy parking lot and circled before jumping out and escaping over a fence. The suspect has not been caught or identified at this time but is described as a Latin adult male in his 40s wearing a black jacket and brown pants.

The eight-year-old ambulance sustained thousands in damages, and is now out of service. Photographs show a crack on the windshield and damage to the passenger-side rearview mirror. The driver’s side window was destroyed, and shards of glass cover the driver’s seat.

A burglar also broke into the local union hall last week and caused thousands of dollars in damages. The San Francisco Police Department found and arrested the suspect in that case.

“We have all been patient enough. It’s time for some changes,” the group said.

San Francisco Mayor London Breed called the incident “upsetting” in a statement following the incident.

“This is upsetting when it happens to our residents, visitors and city staff. Our firefighters, paramedics and all first responders work hard every single day – often putting their lives on the line – to ensure the safety of San Franciscans. We take incidents like this seriously and want to thank SFPD for their involvement in these investigations.”

Chris Rock Refused Offer To Host 2023 Oscars

Chris Rock said that he will not be returning to the Academy Awards as a host.

Rock was performing in Phoenix Sunday night when the comedian shared with the audience that he had been asked to host next year’s Oscar Awards ceremony, which he declined.

Rock, 57, made a joke comparing his return to the Academy Awards to Nicole Brown Simpson’s death. He said going back to the award ceremony would be like going back to the scene of the crime or “back to the restaurant.”

Rock was referencing the O.J. Simpson murder trial where it was argued that events that led to Nicole’s murder began with her leaving a pair of glasses at an Italian restaurant.

The comedian told the audience that the slap from Will Smith “hurt” and then went on to reference Smith’s movie role as Muhammad Ali.

“He’s bigger than me,” Rock said. “The state of Nevada would not sanction a fight between me and Will Smith.”

Rock also revealed that he was asked to host a Super Bowl commercial, which he turned down as well.

Smith received his first Academy Award shortly after slapping Rock while he was presenting an award.

Smith released a public apology on social media days after the awards ceremony and also recently released a YouTube apology to Rock.

As a result of slapping Rock, Smith has been banned from the Academy for 10 years.

Modern Day Exorcism Exposes Popular Bible Camp’s Secrets

A Canadian children’s bible camp is under investigation after it carried out an exorcist that left a child bleeding and twitching.

The incident unfolded in mid-July at the Redberry Bible Camp, which is run by the conservative evangelical Saskatchewan Mennonite Brethren and has been open since 1943.

A camp employee carried out an exorcism on a pre-teen boy, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) confirmed. The male employee performed the exorcism inside one of the cabins, and two witnesses reported a child was bleeding from the nose and lying on the floor twitching and making strange noises, according to the report.

A government source said that a man performed the exorcism on the child while other children looked on, and afterward he told them that he had successfully gotten rid of the demon that had possessed the child. The man then gave the children his business card.

The man also told the children to remain in contact with him forever because he was the only one who knew how to ward off the demon they had encountered.

Parents picked up their terrified children from the camp following the incident.

Redberry Bible Camp board chair Wayne Dick said the man was no longer in the camp’s employment.

“I will tell you that we are investigating the situation … I’m not prepared to discuss it at this point,” Dick said. “I can assure you [the worker] is not at the camp.”

The unidentified man had been forthcoming about his past drug addiction, getting fired from other summer camps, and having an addiction to pornography.

The man allegedly posted a Facebook post about how he “physically abused” his girlfriend while in a “drunken rage” but said he found God in 2020.

“God saved me from a life of wickedness,” the man posted.

Couple Found Hiding After Infant Dies Of Fentanyl Poisoning

A Pennsylvania couple has been charged with murder after their 3-month-old infant died from fentanyl toxicity, the Washington County District Attorney announced Monday.

On Aug. 11, Police responded to a call about a 3-month-old infant girl who was not breathing at a home.

The baby was taken to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Officers found 31-year-old James May and 23-year-old Shannon McKnight in the rafters of an attic on Aug 19, where they were arrested.

The district attorney said toxicology results showed fentanyl in the infant’s blood.

The couple’s 16-month-old son was also taken to the Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh, where cocaine and fentanyl were found in his system.

Police reports show fentanyl and cocaine, and drug paraphernalia was found in the family house.

Both May and McKnight were already facing charges of felony child endangerment and misdemeanor counts of reckless endangerment, drug possession, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

  • UPDATE! War Between Ukraine And Russia Comes To A Standstill

UPDATE! War Between Ukraine And Russia Comes To A Standstill

The war in Ukraine has come to a standstill in the eastern region as casualties mount, with winter bringing the hope of a diplomatic solution between Russia and Ukraine, experts said.

It has been six months since Russian mortars exploded throughout Ukraine, in what Russian President Vladimir Putin expected to be an uncomplicated takeover of Ukraine.

Neither Russia nor Ukraine has made any significant gains in recent weeks, and prospects of a clear winner emerging have dwindled out, according to defense experts.

“Ukraine doesn’t have to win. All they have to do is keep Russia from winning,” Lawrence Korb, a senior fellow at the Center for American Progress and former assistant secretary of defense, said.

“It’s safe to say that there’s a military stalemate and that neither side has a clear path to a decisive military victory,” Dan Caldwell, vice president of foreign policy for Stand Together, added.

Ukraine celebrated 31 years of independence from the former USSR Wednesday. To commemorate, Russia struck a train depot in the Donbas region, killing at least 25 people and wounding up to 50 more, following warnings that Russia may ramp up attacks on civilians.

“We clenched our fists fighting for our fate. Every new day is a new reason not to give up, because, having gone through so much, we have no right not to reach the end,” Zelenskyy said in an address on Ukraine’s national day.

“We used to say: peace. Now we say: victory,” he added.

Experts agreed that the war would peak with a negotiated settlement between the two sides. Winter could potentially bring brutal fighting conditions that force both sides to renew attempts at diplomacy, although neither Putin nor Zelenskyy appears interested in negotiations at the moment.

However, Putin has not given up on his determination to capture all of Ukraine, the Pentagon assessed in a briefing Wednesday.

Likewise, Zelenskyy maintains his determination to reunite all 24 regions of Ukraine, including Russian-occupied Crimea and the Donetsk and Luhansk regions under Russia’s attested control, in his Wednesday address.

  • Cartels Harvest Children’s Organs And Use Bodies For Unspeakable Horrors

Cartels Harvest Children’s Organs And Use Bodies For Unspeakable Horrors

A Central American human trafficker revealed that cartels are harvesting children’s organs and packing their corpses with drugs as part of illicit and lucrative cross-border operations, the anonymous trafficker admitted in a recent interview.

“In most cases, they wanted to sell their organs, so that is the reason they take children,” the anonymous trafficker said.

“Sometimes they take out the organs and they fill the body with drugs so they could take it through the border,” he added.

Wealthy people around the world are buying organs through unauthorized clinics, according to the trafficker.

The unidentified informant said cartels use children because they yield high profits.

“They just care about the money,” the trafficker said.

Sexual predators also purchase children from the cartels, he added.

“I’ve heard that some people in places have very specific things that they like, certain nationalities or certain age groups. So the cartels are looking for the people going around and when they spot someone with those characteristics, they tend to take them,” the trafficker said.

Guatemalan President Alejandro Giammattei said in June that smugglers have taken advantage of the Biden administration’s “confusing” immigration messaging and used children to easily cross into the U.S. illegally.

“Right now there has been confusion with the messages. When they say we are going to codify all the children who have their parents here, what the coyotes say there is not convenient for them [the migrants]. ‘Let’s see. Grab the children and come,’ That child may be related, he may not be related. Wanting a child is the coyotes’ way of manipulating people,” Giammattei said.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) authorities have encountered over 1,900,000 migrants, 128,845 of which are unaccompanied children, at the southern border since October, according to agency statistics.

  • NASA Scrubs Artemis Moon Mission Launch

NASA Scrubs Artemis Moon Mission Launch

Today’s scheduled launch of Artemis 1 was canceled after ground teams at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida detected an issue with one of the four Launch System main engines.

The mission was put on hold at 7:10 a.m. ET. Launch director Charlie Blackwell-Thompson had been consulting with the team in anticipation of a troubleshooting plan and how to proceed, ultimately the decision was made to scrub today’s launch.

“The Space Launch System rocket and Orion spacecraft remain in a safe and stable configuration,” NASA said in a press release.

Sept. 2 and Sept. 5 had already been designated as alternative launch dates in the event the planned launch were to be scrubbed.

Prior to the launch attempt, Administrator Bill Nelson had reminded journalists that the mission was a “stress test” that could not be done with humans aboard. Artemis mission manager Mike Sarafin said the launch “could scrub for any number of reasons,” ranging from technical, weather, or public safety.

  • High School Hazing Gets Texas Football Season Canceled

High School Hazing Gets Texas Football Season Canceled

A Texas high school hazing incident that sent one football player to the hospital with burn injuries has resulted in 21 students being suspended.

The Alamo Heights Police Department is investigating after 21 students were suspended at Alamo Heights High School near San Antonio, Texas following a hazing incident that sent one student to the emergency room with skin burns to his lower body. Football players were initiating players onto the varsity team in a school tradition that involved hot sauce, cookies, and lap dances.

“The senior boys did an initiation, where they went out to the baseball fields and made the younger players put cookies dipped in hot sauce between their butt cheeks,” a source said. “Then, they had to race each other, and if any of the cookies fell out the person would have to eat it. They made them do this in an open space completely naked.”

The same source said that some players had hot sauce thrown at them and some freshmen were forced to strip down to their boxers and give lap dances to cheerleaders at the party.

“Last week, the District received multiple messages through our anonymous tip line regarding safety concerns and allegations of misconduct by some players on the football team,” Alamo Heights ISD director of communications Julie Ann Matonis said in a statement. “The alleged incident did not take place on AHISD property nor was it during school hours. District administrators and coaches had no knowledge of any allegations prior to receiving the reports. The District immediately investigated the matter thoroughly and took appropriate action. Because of student confidentiality laws, the District is prohibited from sharing any additional information.”

Local sports talk radio host Mike Taylor said on Wednesday that “almost the entire” team was punished for the incident.

“Nobody would ever want this to happen to their child,” Kara Van De Kieft, a parent of junior high students in the district, said. “It is something that is a concern to me as a parent of somebody who will be going to the high school next year.”
