During a segment of her show, “Lara Logan Has No Agenda: Return to the Border,” gunshots began to ring out in what Logan called a “war raging on America’s doorstep.”

Host Logan, accompanied by counter-terrorism specialist Jason Jones, visited a small city in Texas near the Rio Grande called Roma. Jones says it was there that fierce gun that originated just across the border in the Mexican city of Ciudad Miguel Aleman could be heard for four consecutive days.

One day, Logan and Jones were walking in an area of the town close to the river at about 4 o’clock in the morning when they heard the terrifying sound of an automatic rifle.

The two quickly made their way to a lookout point on the Rio Grande and while they were not able to see anything from their vantage point overlooking Ciudad Miguel Aleman, just several hundred feet away, the rifles could clearly be heard firing.

Jones said of that morning, “This is what I have been trying to warn about. Another day at the border.”

Shortly after that, the riflemen could clearly be heard exchanging rounds with what Jones was able to identify as a .40-caliber grenade launcher.

Logan said in the show’s narration, “We’d arrived to find war raging on America’s doorstep.”

The small city of Roma, which is about 180 miles southwest of Corpus Christi, hosts an international bridge crossing where agents of the Border Patrol often recieve reports of violence just across the river.

Democrats have long been harping on the idea that President Trump incited violence by his speech on January 6th.

Let’s not forget about the Democrats “calling for violence” as well. Remember when Majority Leader Chuck Schumer threatened two Supreme Court justices?

“I want to tell you, Gorsuch. I want to you, Kavanaugh. You have released the whirlwind and you will pay the price. You won’t know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions.”

I guess it’s time to hold Chuck Schumer accountable for inciting violence in telling people to “go fight” and threatening two Supreme Court justices when he said that they would pay the price and that they wouldn’t know what hit them. That sounds WAY worse than anything that President Trump said at the rally.

Rand Paul even brought this to the attention of Christ Wallace on Fox News Sunday:

“I think if we are going to criminalize speech and somehow impeach everybody who says, ‘oh, go fight to hear your voices heard,’ really we ought to impeach Chuck Schumer then. So if people want to hold President Trump accountable for language, there has to be a consistent standard, and to my mind, it’s a partisan farce.”

That’s why this second impeachment is a farce. It is a big freaking joke. They know that they stand no chance whatsoever in actually convicting President Trump. They know that he’s not even the president and that impeachment is not for private citizens. They know that they have said things that are far worse than anything that President Trump said during the speech. They are just fueled by their blind hate for the man that they will do whatever they can to try and ruin him.

Dangerous icy conditions in Texas resulted in a massive pile-up on Interstate 35W during Thursday morning’s rush hour prompting authorities to urge citizens to stay at home.

There have been at least six people found dead in the 133 vehicles involved and more than 60 people were transported to nearby hospitals.

“The scene we saw today is really, probably, unlike anything any of us have seen, and we pray to God we never see it again,” Fort Worth police Chief Neil Noakes told the station. “Our hearts, our thoughts, our prayers go out to everyone negatively affected by this tragic incident.”

The first crash in the string occurred around 6:15 a.m. Thursday, Noakes said, adding that ice on the road appeared to be a factor. Crashes stretched for nearly a mile along the road, FOX 4 reported. 

The road “may not have been properly treated by the operator,” contributing to the crash, Texas state Sen. Beverly Powell told Fox News.

Multiple videos posted on Twitter showed how quickly the icy surface turned a traffic jam into a disaster.

The same conditions that led to the incident also made it difficult for local agencies to conduct emergency response operations. 

Mike Drivdahl, Fort Worth Fire public information officer, told Fox News that people continued to walk up to rescue workers to report medical events.

The Fort Worth Police Department and local service Med Star were on the scene, assisting with the emergency response.

Due to the icy conditions, the agencies brought in sand trucks to help improve law enforcement and the fire department’s ability to reach and assist people in need.

“This is obviously not something we deal with a lot in Fort Worth,” Drivdahl said, referring to the ice and snow. “But we do have the resources to respond to it.”

Officials are begging residents to remain home due to these extreme conditions. Between the icy roads and the accident, the roads have become “very dangerous,” they said.

A couple in Illinois was startled to learn that they had a connection to a court case going on in Wisconsin since they had moved into an apartment where Kenosha shooter, Kyle Rittenhouse, had once lived.

Anna Mueller and Aiden Earl explained they were not aware when they moved into the apartment that its location had been made public as part of an ongoing criminal case against the teenager who is facing a multitude of charges including homicide and being a teenager in the possession of a gun.

Earl told the local news station, “We were shocked for obvious reason,” and later added, “No, we’re not connected to Kyle Rittenhouse in any sort of way and he does not live here anymore. So hopefully people kind of leave us be.”

“We’re realizing that our address is very public to whoever wants it. There’s been a lot of, ‘OK, make sure the blinds stay closed, make sure those doors are locked, double-checking everything again,” said Mueller.

According to prosecutors, after posting a $2 million cash bond in November Rittenhouse moved out of the apartment he shared with his mother and did not give the courts his new address.

Rittenhouse is accused of shooting Joseph Rosenbaum, Anthony Huber, and Gaige Grosskreutz. Rosenbaum and Huber were killed and Grosskreutz was left wounded.

The shooting occurred during a demonstration that formed after a police officer shot Jacob Black. Rittenhouse traveled to Kenosha in response to a call for people to protect businesses and claims he shot the protesters in self-defense.

A hearing has been scheduled for this week to determine whether Rittenhouse will be arrested or have his bail increased after he failed to update his new address with the court.

Defense attorneys argue that Rittenhouse moved to an “undisclosed safe house” after he got out of jail due to the many threats he had received. They offered to reveal the address if prosecutors would keep it secret but they refused to, citing the address as public record.

A letter signed by dozen of celebrities was sent to President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris demanding their administration shut down the Dakota Access Pipeline for good.

Now over 200 more celebrities, climate activists, indigenous leaders, and many more are fighting back and calling on the Biden administration to continue to follow through with its commitment by ending the long-disputed Dakota Access Pipeline.

The letter comes just three weeks after the Democratic president signed an executive order on his first day in office to stop the controversial Keystone XL oil pipeline. The move effectively revoked the permit for the project, which demonstrated the new administration’s commitment to “a sustainable climate pathway to protect Americans and the domestic economy from harmful climate impacts,” according to the order.

“Thank you for your administration’s early focus on climate change, tribal sovereignty, and racial justice and equity, including your decision to stop the Keystone XL Pipeline,” the letter begins.

It continues: “As your Administration takes action to address the climate crisis and strengthen relationships with Indigenous communities, we respectfully urge you to reverse another harmful Trump Administration decision and immediately shut down the Dakota Access Pipeline (DAPL) during its court-ordered environmental review.”

Reportedly newly-engaged couple Aaron Rodgers and Shailene Woodley signed alongside a slew of other big names in Hollywood. The latter of the two was previously arrested during a protest at the Dakota Access Pipeline in 2016.

The letter goes on to highlight the impact the pipeline would have on indigenous people in the area and the fight to preserve their culture. It also recaps the long fight that’s happened so far to waylay the production of the pipeline by activists. In July of 2020, a judge ordered the pipeline shut down while an environmental impact study is conducted by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

“We urge you to remedy this historic injustice and direct the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to immediately shut down the illegal Dakota Access Pipeline while the Environmental Impact Statement process is conducted, consistent with the D.C. District Court’s decision and order. Additionally, the U.S. Army Corps must ensure a robust environmental review with significant tribal consultation, tribal consent, and a thorough risk analysis,” the letter concludes. “With your leadership, we have a momentous opportunity to protect our water and respect our environmental laws and the rights of Indigenous people. This is our moment.”

Several other celebrities involved with the movement include Alyssa Milano, Leonardo DiCaprio, Scarlett Johansson, Ryan Reynolds, Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Jason Momoa, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Marisa Tomei, Joaquin Phoenix, Jane Fonda, Don Cheadle, Ed Helms, Cher, Chelsea Handler, Ava DuVernay and Amy Schumer.

A shooting at a health care clinic outside of Minneapolis left several people injured on Tuesday.

According to the Buffalo Police Department, the shooting took place at an Allina Health Clinic located in the city but no details about the number of victims or the extent of their injuries have been released.

Citing dispatchers, a local newspaper reported that a bomb had also been detonated inside the facility about thirty minutes after the shooting took place forcing first responders away from the health clinic.

Aerial footage shows shattered windows at the facility and there are no reports of how many other people were in the building at the time.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tabacco, Firearms, and Explosives, along with the FBI reportedly arrived at the scene which already had a heavy police presence.

The clinic’s website states that it offers family medicine and urgent care as well as other general services.

Following several recent attacks against elderly Asians, a northern California district attorney has put together a new special response unit as activists claim that these random acts of violence actually show a pattern of abuse targeting the Asian American community for supposedly causing the coronavirus pandemic.

“It’s not unique to Chinatown or to the Asian community the increase in crime we’ve seen across the city and across the county, but we have seen in the last several weeks and month a very specific increase in crimes committed against Asians,” O’Malley said. “To still be calling it ‘Chinese virus,’ things like that, that fuels hate and fuels aggression and that hate and aggression results in many times – sometimes it’s words – but a lot of times it’s through committing assault or other types of crimes.”

The Oakland Police Department has reallocated resources and is stepping up patrols ahead of the Lunar New Year this coming Friday.

O’Malley’s office charged 28-year-old Yahya Muslim with assault and great bodily injury for shoving a 91-year-old man to the ground at 8th and Harrison streets on Jan. 31. Muslim had two prior assault convictions, prosecutors said.

Video released by police also showed he later approached a 60-year-old man and 55-year-old woman on the same street and pushed them from behind as they were walking. All three victims received medical attention at local hospital for their injuries.

Another surveillance video inside a convenience store showed a suspect identified by police as 22-year-old Deveion Lamont Byrd walking up behind an 80-year-old woman before grabbing two $100 bills from her hands as she went to pay at the register and running off.

“Racist rhetoric from the pandemic has targeted us for being the reason of the coronavirus,” he continued. “Asians across the board have been targeted by racial slurs, by being attacked, by being pushed around, being spat on. Outside of San Francisco, in LA, in New York, these incidents are happening all over the country.”

An elderly man from Thailand was targeted in another startling attack that went viral on social media after happening in broad daylight in San Francisco’s Anza Vista neighborhood on Jan. 28. A neighbor’s surveillance camera captured the moments a man abruptly ran toward 84-year-old Vicha Ratanapakdee standing outside his garage, violently knocking him to the ground before walking off.

Ratanapakdee died at the hospital two days later. His family members told KTVU Fox 2 that they believe the attack was racially motivated and is linked to blame placed on Asians for the pandemic.

On Feb. 1, San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin announced that 19-year-old Antoine Watson would be charged with murder and elder abuse causing death in connection to Ratanapakdee’s death.

The murder of Ratanapakdee “has been especially painful to the Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) community, which has been victimized by many incidents of violence, hate and racism since the start of the pandemic,” the district attorney’s office said.

“This was a horrific, senseless attack, and I send my deepest condolences to the Ratanapakdee family for this unthinkable pain,” Boudin added in a statement. “My heart goes out to the entire AAPI community for the harm and fear this tragedy has inflicted.”

Senator Bill Cassidy caught some heat from his state’s Republican Party after voting in favor of the Senate being constitutionally allowed to hear the impeachment trial of former President Donald Trump.

Cassidy was just one of six Republicans who wanted to move forward with the trial, even though he opposed it when Senator Rand Paul raised the issue to the Senate last week.

“The Republican Party of Louisiana is profoundly disappointed by Senate Bill Cassidy’s vote on the constitutionality of the impeachment trial now underway against former President, now private citizen, Donald J. Trump,” the Louisiana GOP said in a statement following Tuesday’s vote. “We feel that an impeachment trial of a private citizen is not only an unconstitutional act, but also an attack on the very foundation of American democracy, which will have far reaching and unforeseen consequences for our republic.”

Cassidy explained his vote, saying that the Democratic House managers presented a strong case for the constitutionality of the trial, while making it clear that his vote is not indicative of how he will vote in the trial itself.

“We heard arguments from both sides on the constitutionality of having a Senate trial of a president who has since left office. A sufficient amount of evidence of constitutionality exists for the Senate to proceed with the trial. This vote is not a prejudgment on the final vote to convict,” Cassidy said in a statement. “If anyone disagrees with my vote and would like an explanation, I ask them to listen to the arguments presented by the House Managers and former President Trump’s lawyers. The House managers had much stronger constitutional arguments. The president’s team did not.”

Even after his vote on Paul’s motion against holding the trial, Cassidy explained that he did not have time to fully examine the issue beforehand.

“I think it’s important to understand the nature of that vote. It was called two hours before it. There was no debate and no explanation from either side,” Cassidy told NBC‘s “Meet the Press.” “It was a vote in a moment of time. And so, based upon what senators knew at that point and felt at that point, they then voted. But we will now have, hopefully, presentations from both sides, and we will consider the evidence as impartial jurors.”

The five other Republicans who voted alongside with Democrats were Sens. Susan Collins of Maine, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska, Mitt Romney of Utah, Ben Sasse of Nebraska, and Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania.

Even with Cassidy, the 56 votes in favor of holding the trial are a far cry from the 67 required to convict Trump.

The liberals and even the anti-Trump “Republicans” aka the establishment RINOs, have again proven that they have no real cognitive ability.

They really believe that there was no foul play in the election. But why? The answer is simple really, it’s because they have either not looked at the evidence, or blindly follow someone else who simply claims that there was no fraud that took place on election night.

So the people who blindly follow the leader regardless of the truth are the ones who allege no fraud occurred and those who know how to think for themselves are the ones who are just saying, “Let’s examine this.” What are they afraid of? The truth will prevail…or at least it’s supposed to. And if the truth is that there was no fraud, then so be it, but let’s at least look at the facts!

A conservative group is calling out members of the Republican Party by name for promoting “lies, violence and anti-Semitic conspiracy theories” in a scathing new ad that will air on Fox News during “Hannity” in Washington, D.C. next week.

The spot from the Republican Accountability Project ― part of Defending Democracy Together, a never-Trump conservative group ― praises the members of the party who turned on former President Donald Trump after the violent insurrection carried out by his supporters in the Capitol on Jan. 6.

But some members of the party still support Trump and they’ve attacked those who’ve stood up to the former president. Others have repeated Trump’s lies about the election.

The ad specifically names representatives Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.), Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), Madison Cawthorn (R-N.C.) and Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) and Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.):

This is horrible! Every word in that video is quoted from GOP politicians. The problem is that they are all SEVERELY ripped out of context.

Iran is unbelievable. But honestly, what’s more, unbelievable is that the Biden administration is probably going to get down on their knees and beg for forgiveness and suck up to the terrorist nation.

We know that former President Obama and his administration catered to the Iranians and even sent them billions of dollars that no one even knows what happened to it. Well, that’s the story that they tell anyway. We know where the money went.

Under President Trump, Iran got nothing because it makes no sense to send money to countries that hate us. In fact, he was harder on Iran than any other president ever was.

Now, Iran wants the Biden administration to make up for what Trump did.

With Joe Biden in the White House, the mullah-led Iranian regime is pressuring the U.S. to provide “compensation” for the “damage” from sanctions imposed by the Trump administration.

Iran also wants to leverage its nuclear accomplishments and gain additional ones, according to the Middle East Media Research Institute…

…Iran also is demonstrating, through the launch of ballistic missiles, its ability to make long-range rockets, and it is conducting shows of conventional military strength.

It further attacked U.S. targets in Iraq using Shiite militias, and Saudi and Gulf targets using Yemeni Houthi militia. Tehran also is pressuring the Taliban in Afghanistan to destroy the peace agreement it reached with the Trump administration.

Finally, Iran has been seizing oil tankers and arresting Western nationals.

Of course, I’m sure that Biden is going to work out some deal to send Iran some more money for terrorism. They better be careful because one day, someone is going to see what the United States is doing and they’re going to retaliate against us for funding terrorism under the table. It makes no sense to me.
