The Real Reason Why Trump Invited GOP Leader To His Office In Florida

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy traveled to Florida to meet with former President Donald Trump where they agreed to work together on the GOP taking back the House in 2022.

McCarthy reunited with Trump in Mar-a-Lago for a “very good and cordial” meeting where the House leader welcomed the former President’s support in promoting GOP House candidates in the midterm election.

According to a statement from a pro-Trump Save America PAC, “President Trump has agreed to work with Leader McCarthy on helping the Republican Party to become a majority in the House. They worked very well together in the last election and picked up at least 15 seats when most predicted it would be the opposite. They will do so again, and the work has already started.”

After the meeting, McCarthy posted a tweet with the caption, “United and ready to win in ’22.”

McCarthy was eager to assist in Trump’s commitment to helping Republicans win back the House and Senate.

“For the sake of our country, the radical Democrat agenda must be stopped,” he said in a statement.  “A united conservative movement will strengthen the bonds of our citizens and uphold the freedoms our country was founded on.”

An insider source said the meeting was a crucial move to moving the GOP forward.

“They are catching up as McCarthy will be in the neighborhood,” said the source. “They’ve been on good terms for a while, and that will be important for the party moving forward.”

McCarthy believes that in order for the country to begin healing everyone should be talking rather than isolated in their own corners, and that included working with the Biden administration as well.
