Michael Bay Facing Charges in Italy: I Didn’t Do It!

It appears that Michael Bay is facing charges for an offense he committed while filming on location in Rome for his Netflix action thriller “6 Underground.” According to Italian authorities, a homing pigeon was killed on the set of Bay’s movie in 2018 – with Italian prosecutors attempting to hold him responsible.

Bay Denies Being Responsible

Despite these accusations, Michael Bay has denied any involvement or responsibility in the death of this pigeon. The “Armageddon” director has completely dismissed these claims as false and baseless. He has also called out what he believes to be an attempt by local authorities to use him as a scapegoat for their own issues.

This is not the first time that Bay has been accused of killing animals while filming – similar allegations were levied against him while making “The Island” back in 2005; however, those charges were eventually dropped due to insufficient evidence.

Is There Any Evidence?

According to a report from The Wrap, there is very little evidence linking Michael Bay directly to this incident – it is unclear where exactly the bird was found and how it died in the first place. Additionally, there are no witnesses or other direct proof which would indicate that Bay had anything to do with its death either intentionally or unintentionally.

While it remains possible that some kind of investigation will take place and more information will come out about what happened here, at this point all we know is what is being alleged by Italian officials – which may or may not be true.

What Is at Stake Here?

If convicted of killing this pigeon, Michael Bay could potentially face hefty fines and even jail time depending on how severe Italian authorities view this matter – though it seems unlikely they will actually pursue such drastic measures given their lack of evidence against him at this point in time. However, if they do find something along the way then they could certainly make an example out of him and send a message that animal cruelty isn’t tolerated within Italy’s borders.

Regardless of what happens next though one thing is certain: This whole situation doesn’t reflect well upon anyone involved – especially Michael Bay who stands accused but without any real proof behind those accusations so far.
