Joe Biden Avoids Hard Questions About His Son’s Shady Business Dealings

Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden has continued to play dumb when it comes to questions about his knowledge of his son’s shady overseas business dealings, which were discussed in a series of revealing emails reported to have been found on an abandoned laptop belonging to Hunter Biden.

The New York Post recently published the controversial emails that tied Hunter Biden’s work to the Ukrainian natural gas firm Burisma Holdings and a Chinese energy firm.

The Biden campaign has tried to defend the former vice president and his son but Biden refuses to give a reasonable explanation for the emails.

Over the weekend, reporters asked Biden about the Post’s reports to which he replied, “I have no response,” and added that it’s just “another smear campaign.”

In one of the emails, dated May 13, 2017, there includes a discussion of “remuneration packages” for six people in a business deal with a Chinese energy firm. It has been suggested that the emails identify Hunter Biden as “Chair/ Vice Chair depending on an agreement with CEFC,” referring to the now-bankrupt CEFC China Energy Co.

A note included in the email states that “Hunter has some office expectations he will elaborate.” A proposal for equity split references “20” for “H” and “10 held by H for the big guy?” but there are no further details.

Another person who was copied on the email confirmed their authenticity and other sources say that “the big guy” was a reference to Joe Biden.

While Biden still has not commented on the reference to him in the email or his alleged involvement in any deals with the Chinese Energy firm, his campaign claims that Biden’s released tax documents and returns prove that he had no involvement with Chinese investments.
