Fake Tip From Antifa Nearly Destroys The Lives Of Innocent Couple

A fake tip to the Federal Bureau of Investigation separated a husband and wife and nearly destroyed their lives.

Jack Buckby and Martina Markota began getting harassed online by the anti-fascist group Antifa when they publicly showed support of Donald Trump during the 2016 preliminaries. After Trump won the election, Antifa posted her address online and described her as a fascist. The group would then call her place of employment and describe Martina as a “Nazi” which caused her to lose her job she had held for years.

Jack was working abroad as a counter-extremism researcher and author when he started receiving suspicious visa denials because of allegations falsely identifying him as a terrorist. Despite having no criminal record he has yet to be allowed to enter the United States to be with his wife.

“I have spent a very significant sum of money trying to rectify this,” Buckby said. “And lost four years of our life. I just want to be with my wife.”

Martina was contacted by an FBI agent who informed her that they believed she was, at the time, engaged to a British man who had plans to commit terrorist acts in the United States and said their engagement was only a way for Buckby to get a green card.

As it turns out the original tipper was someone who worked alongside Markota and admitted to everything in her personal blog. She claims Markota made her and other co-workers feel “extremely uncomfortable” and “unsafe” with her Republican views so she decided to take her down. The tipper described herself as a “not so bitter divorcee” with too much time on her hands.

Arizona Rep. Paul Gosar took a special interest in the case. His office reached out to the Department of Homeland Security and “ultimately had the matter reviewed to clear the Buckbys.”

“What happened to them is a clear case of doxxing and bordered on the crime of swatting,” said Gosar’s chief of staff in an email to The Post Millennial.

Buckby still gets harassed online.

The Antifa activist was contacted to comment on the case. She claims to have not named Buckby or his wife directly and added, “As far as Antifa is concerned, I’m a moderate Democrat who is against fascism and that’s all you’ll get out of me.”
